Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026.

Draft. Company details in lib/company.ts are still placeholders, and a lawyer has not reviewed this text.

These terms govern your use of Articlize, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (company number [COMPANY REGISTRATION NUMBER], VAT [VAT NUMBER]). By buying or using the service you accept them.

What the service does

You give us a link to a publicly available video. We produce a written article based on that video and email it to you as a PDF. The article is generated with the help of automated systems and language models.

What you are buying

One payment of $5 buys five article credits. One credit produces one article. Credits do not expire. Credits are tied to the email address used at checkout. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or sold.

Delivery time

We aim to deliver each article within one hour. Our contractual commitment is 24 hours from the moment a credit is spent. If we miss 24 hours you may request a full refund under our refund policy.

Limits

  • The video must be in English.
  • The video must be under three hours long.
  • The video must be publicly accessible, and not private, unlisted or age-restricted.

If a video does not meet these limits we tell you and return the credit to your balance.

Accuracy

Articles are produced automatically from an audio transcript. Transcription and writing can both introduce errors. Do not rely on an article for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. Always check the original video before you quote it. We make no warranty that an article is complete, accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

Your use of the articles

An article is made for you, personally. You may read it, annotate it, print it and keep it. You may not republish it, post it publicly, sell it, or feed it into a product or dataset that you distribute. The underlying video remains the property of its creator, and nothing here transfers any right in it to you.

What you must not do

  • Submit video links that you know infringe someone else’s rights.
  • Submit content that is unlawful where you live or where we operate.
  • Attempt to make the service produce output other than an article, including by submitting videos crafted to manipulate our automated systems.
  • Resell the service or operate it on behalf of third parties in bulk.

We may refuse a request, cancel a credit and refund it, or stop serving you, if you break these rules.

Creator rights

We honour creator opt-out requests and DMCA notices. See the copyright page for the process and the contact address.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here when you spend a credit is the version that applies to that article.
